Ver.5.1 is really screwed up! Doesn't work on my Acer Aspire S3 with Win10 after applying all the FAQ's advice. Why changing something that worked so well until Ver.5.0. After a few wasted hours I reinstalled 5.0.
Why does the Mac OS X version require to install an old, deprecated, possibly insecure, version of java? Why can't it run with the newest version of Java?

Don't let the marketing hype influence you: Apple Java 6 is very stable and have no problem of security in the case of applications. Binding Sweet Home 3D with Oracle Java 8 would prevent Mac OS X users to run Sweet Home 3D installer version under Mac OS X 10.4 to 10.6. Why excluding these users?
If you really want to run Sweet Home 3D with Java 8, use the Java Web Start version.
